Rose St. (25th Ave.) Aerial Photos
Running left to right through the center of the photograph is Gage St. Running top to bottom through the center of the picture is Rose St. (25th Ave.). Above Gage St. you can see a familiar sight -- a train traveling through town. In the bottom right corner you can see East Leyden High School.

This is a view of the area surrounding East Leyden High School. You can see Rose St. running immediately on top of the High School and Calwagner Ave. just below the High School. You can also see the different housing developments being formed just south of the High School, just to the west of the High School and just to the northeast of the High School. In the bottom right hand corner of the photo is St. Paul's United Church of Christ. Near the upper right hand corner is Thompson Steel.

On the left-hand side of this photograph is Rose St. (25th Ave.). On the right-hand side angling to the upper left-hand side of the photograph is the Wisconsin Central Railroad tracks. In the center of the photo is Thompson Steel and above that is the now completed housing development you saw in the previous photograph. The bottom center of the photograph shows the northern tip of North Elementary School.

In this photograph you can see the area north of Franklin Ave. Near the bottom left-hand corner running toward the upper right-hand corner is Rose St. (25th Ave.) From left to right across the bottom of the photograph is Addison St. Near the bottom center running to the center right of the photograph is Ruby St. Near the center of the photograph is East Leyden High School. From the center left to the center right of the photograph is the Milwaukee Railroad tracks. From the upper left to upper right of the photo is River Grove, IL and Melrose Park, IL.

Some of the area surrounding East Leyden High School is shown here. Near the top right angling towards center left of the photograph is the Wisconsin Central Railroad tracks. The area just below that is the subdivision, being built just east of Rose St. (25th Ave.) near Addison St. You can see Rose St. curving to the center left, as it enters into Schiller Park. Just below the baseball field (of East Leyden High School) you can see the Lonnquist subdivision in the completion phase of its construction. Below that you can see how barren the area was, with a few farmhouses scattered about.
