Banned Books Week

Banned Books Week is a yearly celebration highlighting the freedom to read and the First Amendment of the US Constitution. Stop by our main display area to check out some books that have been challenged or banned throughout history and learn the reasons why. You might be surprised to see some of your favorites! You can also take home a banned book of your own to read, and pick up free bookmarks, too. Banned Books Week runs until October 3rd, so come see our display before it's over!

Wow, this is not good...
Re: no
Yes, it's very surprising to see how many classic books (To Kill a Mockingbird), popular children's books (The Harry Potter series), and revered authors (Mark Twain) have been challenged or banned at libraries.
