November is Picture Book Month

Picture Book Month is an international literacy initiative that celebrates picture books, which are books with memorable illustrations and lively stories. Every day during November, the Picture Book Month website is featuring posts from picture book champions on the value of picture books in this digital age. You can also discover a number of activities and resources for your own celebration of picture books.

You're also never too old to go back and read a childhood favorite or to share a treasured tale with any of the children in your life. Our Youth Services collection has plenty of picture books, from classic to brand new, for all to peruse. Ask at the Youth Services Desk if you need any help locating or selecting books.
