Rescuing Sprite: a Dog Lover's Story of Joy and Anguish by Mark R. Levin
Good book about a rescued dog and the impact he had on his adopted family in the short 2 years he was with them. Be prepared to shed some tears as the author talks about the heartache of dealing with the loss of his four-legged friend. People who have lost a beloved pet will be able to sympathize with Mr. Levin.

I read this and cried, too. Not quite as good as "Marley and Me", but it is defintely a must-read for dog-lovers.
