Matt Nathanson is not a name that most people recognize immediately. None-the-less he has a loyal fan-base and a worldwide following. Fans of singer-songwriters like John Mayer and Ryan Adams will no doubt enjoy his unassuming yet intense lyrics and lush melodies.

Matt was raised in the Boston area and moved to San Francisco in the early ‘90s. He grew up listening to and loving the hard-rock, big hair bands like Bon Jovi and Skid Row. While this ‘80s nostalgia often shows up in his live shows, his own music tends to lean to the side of more melodic, acoustic rock. He released his sixth album, Some Mad Hope, in 2007 to much critical acclaim. The album combines his emotionally powerful lyrics with both soft, acoustic sounds and louder, harder rocking beats.
