Franklin Park is a village of around 20,000 residents, and the fourth largest industrial suburb in Illinois. Only 14 miles from Chicago's Loop and conveniently close to O'Hare International Airport, Franklin Park is easily accessible from Chicago's major highways and through public transportation via Metra or Pace Bus.

Local News

The Franklin Park Library keeps issues of the local newspaper, the Franklin Park Herald-Journal, on microfilm back to the very first issue in 1946. We also have the Chicago Tribune available on microfilm from 1986-1999, and subscribe to its online archives from 1985 to the present date.
