Good Books to Read - April 2014

Every day, librarians here at the Franklin Park Library and nationwide evaluate book reviews and select upcoming titles for our collections. Our collective expertise is now harnessed into LibraryReads, a monthly list of the top ten books that librarians across the country love.

View the April 2014 LibraryReads List, and then explore previous lists for past selections.

You can search our online catalog for these titles, and don't be afraid to place a hold on a item! Librarians at the Info Desk and the Kids Crossing Desk are more than willing to help you learn how to locate items, place holds, and offer suggestions to match your reading tastes and interests.

Donate Your Prom Dress

Do you have a formal dress, suit, or tuxedo that you no longer need?

Don't let it hang in the back of your closet and gather dust! The Library is looking for new and gently-used prom dresses and men's suits for our annual Once Upon a Prom event in April.

Donations are accepted during regular library hours until March 31, 2014. All donations must be on a hanger and in clean condition.

Quilts on Display

March is National Quilting Month! To celebrate, the Friendship Quilting Club will sponsor a display of their handiwork at the Library during March 2014. Come by and view the beautiful work that these talented crafters have produced. You'll find quilts on display near the Friends' Book Sale.

Are you interested in quilting? The Friendship Quilting Club meets at the Library on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 10 AM to 12PM. Learn more about the Friendship Quilting Club.
