Information & Digital Services Assistant

Franklin Park Public Library District

 

FT/PT:

Part-time

 

Hours:

16 hours per week.  Includes afternoons, evenings, and a Friday night/Saturday monthly rotation

 

Salary:

$11.00 hourly

 

Job Description:

Are you eager to help patrons of all ages discover more about the library and its services?  Do you love finding answers and matching the right book to every reader? Are you the go-to person for technology solutions?

 

If so, come work at a library that offers a chance to try new things and let your creative side shine!  The Franklin Park Public Library District is seeking a resourceful, tech-savvy and customer-oriented person to fill our part-time Information & Digital Services Assistant position.

 

As an Information & Digital Services Assistant, you will gain the opportunity to take on a variety of tasks and projects as a part of our Information & Digital Services team, which serves patrons of all ages, in person and online.  Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) providing reference, reader’s advisory, and technology assistance at our Information Desk, teaching technology tutorials,  and performing collection development. Ideally, you will be flexible, self-motivated, work well with others, and have a sense of humor.

 

Requirements:

High school diploma is required. Some college and/or customer service experience is preferred.
