Our mission is to maintain and improve the quality of life for the people of the community by providing multi-faceted access to educational and recreational information while promoting the value of the Library and its services. "Read to Succeed" - Winter Reading for KidsCalling all readers! Get rewarded for your reading! Register for the Youth Services Winter Reading Program starting Monday, January 23rd, when you will receive a book bag, pencil, and reading log. Read as many books as you like about hockey, winter sports, or any other topic. Turn in your reading log once a week and get prizes! Prizes include Chicago Wolves items. The reading program runs until Sunday, March 4th. The library thanks the Chicago Wolves for their generous donations to this year's Winter Reading Program! Conversation CircleOur Conversation Circle is a place to practice English conversation skills in a friendly, informal setting. It meets every Tuesday evening at 7 PM, and runs for 12 weeks, with the last session on 4/3. While any topic (except religion and politics) can be discussed, the focus of this new Circle will be slang expressions. Make a list of those that are confusing, and we will explore them and many others.
